I sometimes forget this. I forget that it's possible that God is at work in all aspects of our lives -- even when we can't make sense of these things. But, it's true. God is good.
I went to the hospital. Baby and Mommy are doing well. They are both bruised and aching but they are well. They are healthy -- and God is with them. Praise God. God is good. All the time.
It's a nice reminder in the week before vacation. I leave for Scotland on Sunday. I need to remember that God is good. All of the time. And working in my life. I need that to be the good news of my retreat to the land of my ancestors.

Wonderful news. God is indeed good. And well done, pastor peters. It is not an easy thing to go to a hospital, not knowing what to expect.
And by the way, Scotland is pretty close to Sweden, at least compared to lots of other places in the world...and the flights aren't that expensive...*smiles*
oh joy! praise god. i was going to say that you can talk to my mom about this if you want - she's a developmental pediatrician and probably 90% of her patients were premature and came out of the neo-natal intensive care unit.
woohoo! God is indeed good, and you're pretty darn awesome yourself! :-) Can't wait to see you in less than two weeks!
So glad for the update!
Oh, good. Not that you asked, but I have some more advice not directly related to your own response. If the church wants to do something to help, here are some very helpful things: childcare (if this family has older children at home); rides to/from hospital while Mommy can't drive; meals when Mommy comes home AND when baby finally comes home. These all make a huge difference--probably not something the family would ask for, but for us they were much appreciated.
excellent. most excellent.
