Also, if the wedding is outside... a hurricane lamp cover thingy is helpful. Because lighting a unity candle that blows out right afterwards? NOT good liturgical symbolism :)

And no, I wasn't presiding at that wedding, just attending.Susie/Nueva Cantorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111443190777358634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13156597.post-17745176360390311082008-08-07T11:28:00.000-04:002008-08-07T11:28:00.000-04:00By the way, it's me- the Rev McCBy the way, it's me- the Rev McCRevMcChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17871530645282020842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13156597.post-19146507805522074502008-08-07T11:27:00.000-04:002008-08-07T11:27:00.000-04:00E!That is so funny. I've never done it before, and I don't think we have 'protocol.' I was actually going to do it without saying anything! Just direct the parents to light the candle when they process in, and then invite the couple to light the candle after the exchange of rings. No words.
But maybe I'll use what you posted. It's not bad.
Can others post their scripts???? This would be very helpful.RevMcChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17871530645282020842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13156597.post-2249232251027649482008-08-05T22:35:00.000-04:002008-08-05T22:35:00.000-04:00I gave in once.Once.I gave in once.
Once.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08235049965406944684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13156597.post-34181081626908264842008-08-04T22:31:00.000-04:002008-08-04T22:31:00.000-04:00Why do you all hate it?
